The AyeAye and I Audible Audio Edition Gerald Durrell Rupert Degas Naxos AudioBooks Books Reviews
- Darrell is always a treat! This was his last collecting trip, and you do feel some of his pain and sorrow, but there is lots of fun too. A recommended read!
- Quite a short novel, and without the consistency of Durrell's earlier work (the start is a bit slow), it nevertheless charms with its exquisite descriptions of Madagascan wildlife and human eccentricities.
- Durrell's last book, about his last expedition, as amazingly humorous, thought provoking and inspirational as any of his others. A great man writing in the twilight of his life. A brilliant insight into the wildlife and problems faced then and now in Madagascar.
- Simply fascinating. I am far from being a biologist, but Gerry's descriptions are hilarious and easily followed by any reader. Super recommended.
- Loved this book. Gerald Durrell has such a unique way with explanation of all his adventures.
- Was looking for an illustrated children's book based on the cover.
- a lovely mix of humour, knowledge and beauty. brings about wonder and evokes a sense of duty to protect all that is precious in ths world
